Microsoft Teams Premium is a paid per-user add-on that bundles a set of advanced Teams capabilities not included in standard plans. Headline features include intelligent meeting recap (AI-generated notes, action items, and chapters), advanced meeting protection (watermarks, end-to-end encryption for scheduled meetings, sensitivity-label-driven meeting controls), advanced webinars (registration waitlists, manager approval, RTMP-in), virtual appointments with SMS notifications and queue management, and advanced meeting customisation (organisation backgrounds, branded lobbies). Required for some Town Hall features at large scale. Licensed separately from Microsoft 365 plans — not included even with E5.
