Teams Toolkit

The Microsoft Teams Toolkit (now sometimes called Microsoft 365 Toolkit) is Microsoft's developer extension for Visual Studio Code that simplifies building Microsoft Teams apps, Microsoft 365 Copilot extensions, Outlook add-ins, and other Microsoft 365 integrations. Features include: project scaffolding (tabs, bots, message extensions, agents), local development with tunnel exposure, automatic Microsoft 365 dev tenant provisioning, manifest validation, Azure-side resource deployment, debugging support, and publishing flows. Aligned with the unified app manifest so one codebase can target Teams, Outlook, Microsoft 365 web, and Copilot Chat. The fastest path from "I want to build a Teams app" to a working prototype.
