Teams Policy
A per-user configuration governing what users can do in Microsoft Teams — meetings, messaging, apps, voice.
A Teams policy is a named per-user configuration that governs what users can do in Microsoft Teams across various surfaces — meeting policies (recording, transcription, lobby, breakouts, sharing), messaging policies (chat, edit, delete, GIFs, stickers), app permission and setup policies (which apps users can install, what's pinned), voice routing policies (PSTN connectivity per user), live events policies, calling policies, and many more. Configured in the Teams Admin Center, with Global (org-wide default) policies plus custom policies for specific user groups. Policies are assigned individually or via policy packages that bundle multiple policy types for specific roles (frontline manager, healthcare clinician, etc.).
