Room List

An Exchange Online distribution group of room mailboxes used by Outlook's Room Finder for grouping rooms by building or floor.

A room list in Exchange Online is a specialised type of distribution group containing room mailboxes, used by Outlook's Room Finder to group rooms by building, floor, or campus. Each room list represents one logical location ("Building A," "Boston Office," "EMEA Headquarters Floor 3"). Users picking a meeting time see room availability filtered to a specific room list. Configured via PowerShell with New-DistributionGroup -RoomList. Pair with room mailbox capacity, equipment, and location attributes for full Room Finder functionality, including capacity-aware filtering and feature-aware filtering (rooms with VC, rooms with whiteboard, etc.).
