Microsoft Syntex (formerly SharePoint Syntex, now also marketed as SharePoint Premium) is the content AI service for SharePoint. It provides document understanding models that classify and extract information from PDFs and Word documents, content assembly for generating documents from templates and data, content query for searching across the tenant with AI-aware ranking, eSignature for digital signing inside Microsoft 365, and content processing flows for automated handling at scale. Licensed per-user or per-transaction depending on capability. Most useful for organisations with high-volume document processes — contracts, invoices, forms — that have historically been manual.
