Microsoft 365 Business Standard
A mid-tier Microsoft 365 plan for SMBs with Office desktop apps but without device management or advanced security.
Microsoft 365 Business Standard is the mid-tier Microsoft 365 plan for SMBs (under 300 users). Includes Microsoft 365 Apps for Business (installable Office desktop), Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Lists, Microsoft Bookings, and Microsoft Planner. Compared to Business Basic (web/mobile only), adds installable desktop Office; compared to Business Premium (more expensive), lacks Defender for Business, Intune device management, Entra ID P1 (Conditional Access), and AIP. The right plan for small businesses that want desktop Office and Teams but don't need the security / device-management investment of Business Premium.
